AYITI S.O.S (“we”, “us”) is a humanitarian safety platform. We respect your privacy and only collect what we need to operate emergency, safety, and community features.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: email, display name, and authentication data when you sign up.
  • Location: only when you choose to share it (e.g. sending an SOS, posting a report, or using the safety map).
  • User content: alerts, reports, missing-person posts, and messages you submit.
  • Device & usage data: basic logs needed to keep the service running and secure.

2. How we use information

  • Deliver emergency alerts and safety features.
  • Show relevant incidents, shelters, and resources near you.
  • Prevent abuse, false alerts, and protect the community.
  • Improve the platform.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only when necessary: with responders or community members you choose to alert, with trusted service providers that host the platform, or when required by law to protect someone’s safety.

4. Storage and security

Data is stored on our secure cloud infrastructure. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, but no system is 100% secure.

5. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can also delete your account from the app.

6. Children

AYITI S.O.S is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Donations

Donations are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe’s own privacy policy applies to payment data.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app.
